The voice picking environment presents unique demands of a headset. The quality of audio transmission and reception must be exceptionally high in order to eliminate mistakes and delays in communication between the worker and warehouse management system (WMS). The headset must be robust enough to withstand long-term usage in demanding workplace environments- including freezer environments- while at the same time providing a level of comfort and ease of use that enables the worker to concentrate on the job at hand. The quality of components and assembly must be of an exceptionally high standard to minimize costly downtime caused by breakages and failures.

  1. Composed of stainless steel and high-flexibility PC/ABS, the headband is virtually indestructible- yet is lightweight, fully adjustable to suit all head sizes (can be worn over or under headwear), and ultra-comfortable to wear.
  2. Ultra thick, soft and comfortable speaker and headpiece padding affords another level of comfort to busy warehouse workers.
  3. Internal circuit board includes high level of shielding and noise filtering to eliminate extraneous noise and EMR interference, preserving the integrity of the audio signal and maintaining an unbroken link between worker and voice console. All parts used are rated for use to minus 40 degrees Celsius.
  4. Noise-cancelling eletret microphone ensures perfect clarity of voice responses received by the host system, while minimizing extraneous workplace noise. The microphone housing is waterproofed to eliminate condensation-related damage and stoppages when working in and out of freezers.
  1. Super tough metal-wound microphone boom can be repeatedly bent through extreme angles without breaking. The boom and swivel mechanism are flexible enough to allow easy adjustment to the optimum working position- yet it will not slip or move out of place once set, even after extended periods of usage.
  2. The microphone swivels fully to front or back, allowing the headset to be worn on either side with equal ease.
  3. To minimize downtime, both the headband and connector cable can be easily removed and replaced within moments in case of damage. The removable connector cable allows the same headset to connect to a variety of devices using different connectors. When upgrading equipment, only a replacement cable may be necessary.
  4. Tough, lightweight TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) cabling is shielded to prevent extraneous EMR noise interference. Cable material offers excellent elasticity, abrasion resistance, oil/grease resistance, and low-temperature performance.

For high noise environments, specify IDST’s ear-covering monaural headset model. The ultra-comfortable padded ear-muff greatly increases speaker clarity and eliminates time wasted repeating prompts. Furthermore, the noise-cancelling microphone significantly reduces ambient noise mixing with worker responses.
